Coffee 02:36
I drink coffee in the morning To get me out of bed And I turn to the Sunday newspaper To see what Dear Abby said I walk to the nearest bookstore Since google couldn’t find The girl behind the counter smiled And said, “Love, you need love, you need love” I’ve read all the greatest poets To seek solace in rhyme Even the good book says it five hundred and eight times (OH) I’ve sought professional advice (so they could shrink your mind) They say your head works just fine Yes your feelings are perfectly normal It’s just love, you need love, you need love Though I hate to admit it I put up a good fight Yes I hate to admit it But maybe everybody’s right (instrumental) Yes I hate to admit it I put up a good fight Yes I hate to admit it But maybe everybody’s right So I drink coffee in the morning To get me out of bed And I turn to the Sunday newspaper And check the personal ads instead close

Someday 02:48
Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen But if not now? Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen But if not now then when So many people talking They shake their heads And say the world’s not working So many people talking But they don’t do a thing At the end of the day I don’t want to say I ‘coulda lived my life that way Oh no no At the end of the day I don’t want to say That I ‘coulda, ‘shoulda, ‘woulda didn’t But now it’s just too late Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen But if not now then when So many people watching They watch their world Through a box that’s talking So many people watching Their lives on ABC, BBC, MTV, CNN When does it end? At the end of the day I don’t want to say I ‘coulda lived my life that way Oh no no At the end of the day I don’t want to say That I ‘coulda, ‘shoulda, ‘woulda didn’t But now it’s just too late Bridge Heyyyyeah yeah Ooooh ooooh Heeyy yeah yea Ooooooooooh Why do we wait Why do we hesitate We give a little too much too late We paralyze our minds By things we never done before You ‘gonna keep on looking out the window Or are you ‘gonna open up the door. Heyyyyeah yeah Ooooh ooooh Heeyy yeah yea Ooooooooooh Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen Someday I’m ‘gonna make it happen But if not now

What would you do If I told you how much you meant to me what would you say if I told you I like the way would you climb a mountain? would you take a fall? would you do for me? what I’d never do at all so long I’ve admired you from a near distance so long we’re friendly strangers or what you’d like to call acquaintances and I never thought that it could be like this so all I ask of you now is would you seal it with a kiss And I never thought That it could be like this So all I ask of you now Is would you seal it with a kiss With all these years behind us And those ahead Would you keep it all within you All that you’ve said How you’d always be there Even when my eyes can’t see Visions of you exist Only in my memory And I never thought That it could be like this So all I ask of you now Is would you seal It with a kiss It’s a kind of inspiration from which I’ve learned you taught me how to love how to make my heart yearn and deep inside my soul I know the future’s told And I never thought That it could be like this So all I ask of you now Is would you seal it with a kiss Seal it with a kiss….

Dark Refrain 03:38
I know you like Jesus But you can’t take away from his fame When you gonna realize That there’s no one here There’s no one left to blame How can I show you How can I guide you To all the right ways When you gonna realize That there’s no one here There’s no one left to save The skies have fallen And the land’s taken by the rain A world of wonders And the prophecies to claim All that’s left here Is heaven no dark refrain Yea yeah, no dark refrain yea yeah I know you like politics But your fear Doesn’t let you speak your mind How can you be heard How can we be told If it’s all kept inside I know you like being different But you can’t stray away from this parade When you gonna realize That the answer here is not to misbehave (chorus) When I came here Things were strange There was a cold, cold rain When I left here Somehow things Well they just weren’t the same You were a mystery And that was all that I knew The sands of time the tables have turned Now that I’ve seen you (chorus) 2x The skies have fallen And the land’s taken by the rain A world of wonders and the prophecies to claim All that’s left here is heaven no dark refrain All that’s left here is heaven, no dark refrain.

Jerusalem 02:45
Oh Jerusalem I think I understand What it is about you Well your complicated situation Always sparks a conversation And it’s all in the name of you Oh, Searching yeah everyone’s searching For meaning in your land Craving yeah everyone’s craving To call you their own How they hunger for your throne Well the whole world’s watching The people talking Like they understand you But they got you all wrong And it’s all in your name The source of your fame You’re the city of peace Gone to pieces Oh Jerusalem Your walls are made of sand You lure the hearts of man ‘Cause they fight and then they fall for you Just the way that lovers do And it’s all in the name of you Praising Yea everyone’s praising Your name in poetry Craving yeah everyone’s craving To call you their own How they hunger for your throne Well the whole world’s watching The people talking Like they understand you But they got you all wrong And it’s all in your name The source of your fame You’re the city of peace Gone to pieces

1:52 03:41
It’s 1:52 And I’m thinking of you And I’m trying To understand what it is that I feel It’s 1:53 And I’m looking at me And I’m laughing At how dumb I am Have I forgotten? That this is what life’s about First you find love Then you learn it and you love and you leave it Yeah isn’t that what life’s about And we cry to ourselves How lonely we feel When we chose to love and lost And we paid the price But we didn’t know the cost Of falling in love Of falling in love 20 to 4 I cant take anymore what is this I see here some people busy counting sheep while I lay here and dream of sleep maybe an hour or two ::pause:: (or maybe not) ‘cause I’m too busy thinking of you And we cry to ourselves How lonely we feel When we chose to love and lost And we paid the price But we didn’t know the cost Of falling in love Of falling in love Yeah (Bridge) who am I kidding how presumptious of me to think that I could figure it out using logic and reason and rational three buddies of mine anytime else woah except now……… ‘cause I’m falling in love 20 past seven and the sun came down from heaven and shined on me did I really just stay up all night wondering if I’ll get anything right beyond a shadow of a doubt yeah isn’t that what life’s about And we cry to ourselves How lonely we feel When we chose to love and lost And we paid the price But we didn’t know the cost Of falling in love Of falling in love Of falling in love

Confession 02:47
I I've got something on my mind Something to say to you ‘Cause I I’ve got feelings deep inside The kind That I can’t hide So I’m hoping that you’re listening To what it is I say And I’m hoping that it won’t scare you Enough To run Away ‘Cause, I I got a little confession to make When I see you My heart starts to break So I’m hoping that you’re listening To what it is I say And I’m hoping that it won’t scare you Enough To run Away Away ‘Cause I’m so in love with you And I don’t know what to do ‘Cause you make me lose my mind But I just want to call you mine Oh, I got a little confession to make I said ohhhh. I I got something on my mind Something to say to you

Lovers' Plea 02:13
Tonight I’m gonna Celebrate our love’s romance And I wish that you could celebrate with me You always said we’ll be together Well, now things changed And I’m lucky If I’ll ever see you again Some of them plead for mercy And some of them don’t even try Now honey how could I leave you With those tears in your eyes (instrumental) I tell you once I’ll tell you again This is where the stories end No more fooling And crying myself to sleep So as I sing myself to sleep I’m dreaming of something sweet And this is the end of a lover’s plea Some of them plead for mercy And some of them don’t even try Now honey how could I leave you With those tears in your eyes

Sunday what a sunny day No clouds are standing in the way All my thoughts turn skies of grey to blue Monday starts a brand new week I’m back to work back on my feet Here’s to the first week without you But Tuesday comes around And I can’t get my feet back on the ground I come across a picture of you Oh I miss you smile I miss your face Wish we could go to our secret place But all I have are thoughts of you Wednesday’s here, Give out a cheer My friends have come to make things clear With I told you so’s, now let’s go have a beer ‘Cause all my friends, they are so smart They got the answers from the start Here’s what they say to do: don’t pick up the phone If you’re feelin’ alone Starin’ at a picture won’t make you feel better Forget about the past, remember you I can’t believe I didn’t see Thursday’s light you stole from me Blinded, by all these thoughts of you Friday and I’m almost there I’m over it, old news I swear Time for a walk to get fresh air And just as I get to the street I see you there And our eyes’ meet What should I say What should I do Oh if only you weren’t so complicated If only you ever concentrated On anything but you Saturday my mind’s at rest It seems as though I’ve passed the test I made it through a week without you ‘Cause I’m done with crying No more tears Time to catch up on my lost years I spent, thinking these thoughts of you Yes I’m done thinking these thoughts of you (3x)

So Long 03:32
So many ways to say goodbye So many reasons why And sometimes it hurts to go our own ways But sometimes we cannot wait Blinded by love I couldn’t see It was so foolish of me To think that I couldn’t be Anything on my own I wish that I’d known So long farewell Here I am Without you by my side I’m doing fine So long farewell It’s time to say goodbye. Cuz it’s about time To check you out of my head You had your fair share of space Now that your shadow has lifted I feel the sun on my face Blinded by love I couldn’t see It was so foolish of me To think that I couldn’t be Anything on my own I wish that I’d known So long farewell Here I am Without you by my side I’m doing fine So long farewell It’s time to say goodbye Don’t let the door hit you Where the good lord split you baby I know it may sound harsh But it’s the downright truth baby (instrumental ) (chorus)
